An Sithean is a deceptively spacious new house, built to a very high standard in the traditional Tiree 'blacktop' style.

It is located on the edge of Scarinish, set back from the main village and with uninterrupted panoramic views west across the island. The house is within two minutes’ walk of the Co-op, bank, hotel and post office and only a fifteen minute walk from the ferry pier. It is also within easy walking distance of several beaches.

ACCOMMODATION 

GROUND FLOOR

Porch and Hallway - An Sìthean is entered through the porch which has pegs for coats and leads into the hallway with access to the main rooms and the staircase to the first floor. There is laminate flooring downstairs and carpeting upstairs.

Lounge - The light and spacious lounge has comfortable seating for six, a wood burning stove, a large flat screen TV with Blu-ray player, and a small table and chairs. French windows open onto the decking which stretches the length of the house. There is a selection of books, DVDs and games available for the occasional wet day!

Kitchen /Dining - The large dining kitchen is fully equipped with electric hob and oven, microwave, dishwasher, fridge freezer, washing machine and tumble dryer. The large solid wood dining table and chairs sit beside the French windows.

Master Bedroom - The large downstairs master bedroom with French windows and en-suite facilities, has a king sized bed and plenty of wardrobe and drawer storage. The en-suite has a bath with shower over, basin, wc and heated towel rail.

Shower Room - Off the hall is the downstairs shower room with shower enclosure, basin, wc and heated towel rail.

FIRST FLOOR 

Twin Bedroom - A bright dual aspect twin bedroom with sea views, built in wardrobe and additional storage.

One bedroom can be converted to a super king on request.

Shower Room - The upstairs shower room has an electric shower, basin and wc.

FACILITIES AND SERVICES

The house has oil fired central heating with radiators in every room. In addition there is a wood burning stove in the lounge. The hot water is supplemented by a solar panel.

There is a BT broadband connection with Wi-Fi and a phone for incoming calls only.

Bed linen and towels, for house use only, are supplied. Beach towels are not provided. All bedrooms have hair dryers. A cot (without bed linen) is available on request, as is a high chair. The ground floor accommodation is disabled friendly.

DIRECTIONS TO THE HOUSE

When leaving the pier turn right and drive for one mile until you come to a T junction, turn left, drive past the Police Station and then turn immediately right onto the track between the house and the sheep pens. This leads past the end of a row of houses on your left and on towards An Sìthean at the end of the track.

OUTSIDE SPACE AND PARKING

An Sìthean is on a large fenced grassy plot with a shed for storage at the rear. Inside the fence there is parking at the front of the house for two cars. Decking, for which there is outdoor furniture stored in the shed, stretches the length of the house. There is a clothes pole and washing line.

RESTRICTIONS 

No smoking or pets.

Guests are asked to vacate the house by 10.00am to allow our housekeeper to have access to change beds etc in preparation for our new guests. We request that you leave the house as you would expect to find it.
