An Caladh, meaning, “rest place by the sea” is just that! The idyllic beach house set back from one of the best surfing and most beautiful beaches on the west coast.
The house is the perfect location for adventure, relaxation and tranquility.
An Caladh is easily big enough for a large family or a couple of families wanting to share their holiday together. The house has been kitted out with the adventurous family in mind! Washing lines inside and out for wetsuits and plenty of hooks for cycling helmets! There are pine floors throughout the ground floor and quarry tiles in the kitchen, making it an easy house to keep. There is also a high chair, cot and children’s cutlery.
Spend the days on water on sand and come back to a meal around the large table and board games by the fire. Or spend the evening in the south facing walled garden, watching the hares play in the machair, sharing tales from your day of fun! And as the sun sets, discover the stars as you may never have seen them before.
An Caladh is in a prime spot! Just metres from Balevullin beach where there is surf hire and lessons as well as the location for the wind surfing “Wave Classic”. It is also close to the loch where the wind surfing lessons take place. The beach is sheltered and perfect for relaxing, paddling, damming and bbqing, for all ages.

FACILITIES AND SERVICES
A perfect, large, beach house in a picture postcard location! The house offers comfortable accommodation for 10. With wifi and a large selection of board games, TV and DVD player and an open fire. The house is fitted with central heating. The drying/ kit room has a heated dryer and 2 wetsuit dryers are available. Linen and towels can be hired.
DIRECTIONS TO THE HOUSE
Head to Balevullin from Scarinish or Crossapol. At T junction turn right towards sea. Over bridge turn right. Opposite thatch house turn right down track to house. There is a white wall around the garden.
OUTSIDE SPACE AND PARKING
A lovely south-facing walled garden with grass, flower bed and palm trees. Garden furniture for 6 on south side of property overlooking the flowery machair. Parking on An Caladh access land at front of property by large garden gate. Otherwise on the surrounding grassland. Please keep the gate shut and no parking on tracks.
Sorry- no smoking or dogs.
Booking via email and payment by bank transfer. Booking confirmed once funds recieved.
Prices are based on 8 people. If you have less then do get in touch and we may be able to be flexible on price outside busy times. As the house has central heating and located close to the school, it lends itself to longer term stays and we can discuss a monthly rate. Short winter breaks also available
