Drovers Cottage Back
Drovers is one of the few remaining traditional Tiree thatched cottages.
The cottage has thick stone walls, small deep set windows and a marram grass thatched roof; creating a truly cozy atmosphere in a beautiful setting.
Lapwings, hares and a multitude of other wildlife are frequent visitors in the Spring and can be seen around the cottage. You may even catch a glimpse of the Corncrake or hear its characteristic call.
Drovers overlooks Loch a’ Phuill, one of Tiree’s nature reserves and towards the cliffs of Kenavara, where fulmars, kittiwakes, razorbills and guillemots nest. Sandaig beach is a just mile walk from Drovers through crofts and machair.
