Fuaim Na Mara is a luxury renovated blackhouse style cottage with a high standard of interior finish.

It is situated in the township known as Heanish, which is approximately 1.5 miles from the Ferry terminal and 3 miles from the Airport.

ACCOMMODATION

GROUND FLOOR

Double Bedroom - is situated on the ground floor and is tastefully decorated.  There are two built in wardrobes which provide adequate storage facilities.  An electric panel heater provides heating.

Twin Room - is situated on the ground floor and is also tastefully decorated. There are adequate storage facilities for two people. An electric panel heater provides heating.

Utility Room - which is situated on the ground floor in the adjoining room (access from its own outside door) contains the washing machine and tumble dryer.  There is also an additional sink and a freezer available if required.

Bathroom - the shower room is situated on the ground floor off the hall and main entrance and is fitted with a double shower which is fitted with a 9.5 Kw Mira electric shower. The bathroom has an electric towel radiator

FIRST FLOOR 

Lounge/Kitchen - the accommodation consists of a modern wooden floored open plan lounge and kitchen area, which is situated on the upper floor.  The upper floor has views to the east and west of the Island and is very tastefully decorated. The lounge is fitted with a T.V with satellite freeview, DVD, CD player & I pod dock.  The lounge is heated by two storage heaters and one convector fire

The Kitchen is fully fitted and includes an electric oven and hob, microwave and fridge. The kitchen is fully equipped with all the necessary utensils. There is a folded dining room table and chairs which when opened up and can seat four people

FACILITIES AND SERVICES

Linen and towels are provided. To the left off the stairway is a cupboard where there is storage for jackets etc. This cupboard also contains the vacuum cleaner, ironing board and iron.

The utility room is used as a storage area for the garden furniture.

DIRECTIONS TO THE HOUSE

Directions to “Fuaim Na Mara” from Ferry Terminal.

On coming off the pier drive up the pier road and past the new development of houses. At the T-junction, turn left and continue on this road through the village of Scarinish and the famous ‘COOP’ on your right. Once through Scarinish continue on the road past the Old folks’ home on the left and then over a cattle grid. This will now be you in the township of Heanish. Continue for approximately half a mile and you will come to Fuaim Na Mara, which is situated, on the right hand side off the main road.

OUTSIDE SPACE AND PARKING

In addition there is a large garden with a whirly for drying clothes and adequate parking and sunbathing facilities, the parking is shared with house next door, which is owned by our parents/ in-laws.

RESTRICTIONS

Terms and conditions and payment:

On booking “Fuaim Na Mara” a £50 deposit is required for every week booked, with the full balance paid one month prior to the commencement of your stay. 

All breakages should be replaced or paid for.

We ask that you leave the property in the condition that you would expect to find it in.

The property will be left open for your arrival, with the door keys hanging up in the hall.  Our caretaker will call at some point on the day of your arrival, but will not always be there on your arrival.

Linen and towels are provided and the price paid is inclusive of all electricity used.

Guests are asked to vacate the property two hours prior to the ferry or plane departure this is to enable our cleaner to get access to the property and change beds etc and prepare the house for the next guests.
