Turas is a recently renovated croft house which sleeps 6. It is located centrally on the island in the township of Heanish, approximately 1 mile from the main village of Scarinish. Turas is decorated in a modern fashion and fully equipped with a large surrounding fenced off decking area and garden.
There is a large open plan living/dining and kitchen area with patio doors onto a decking area and washing green with a utility room adjacent which also has a tumble drier. The living area has a tv on the wall with 3 comfortable recliner sofas surrounding it. The dining area has a large dining table which sits at least 8 people and the kitchen has a breakfast bar area with more seating too. Within this room there is a cosy snug to sit around the wood burning stove. Downstairs has a large bathroom with shower and bath facilities as well as a double bedroom. Upstairs is a spacious king size room, twin room and shower room.
On arrival guests will find tea, coffee, sugar, milk and some homemade tablet bags. We know that every trip to Tiree is not complete without a trip to the beach so we have included beach towels for each person and have plastic boxes to take your picnic to the beach as well as your regluar linen and towels. Board games and books are also provided for the odd wet days. Turas has wifi and a smart TV in the living area and a blutooth speaker for you to connect to tunes of your choice. The house has central heating throughout and has underfloor heating in the living area. Travel cot and high chair are available at the time of booking.
If you are arriving on Tiree by ferry follow the road until you come to a junction signposted Scarinish and head left. This will take you past the bank and Coop, continue straight ahead for one mile and you will reach the next township of Heanish where we are. Drive past a couple of houses on your left and after a sharpish right hand side bend we are the first on the right.
If you are arriving by plane follow the road past the Tiree Rural Centre until you come to a junction signposted Scarinish and head left. Continue to the next junction and take another left past the playpark and the Buth a’ Bhaile shop will be on your left. You will then be on a stretch of road known locally as ‘The Reef’ and you will see the airport on your left. Continue for two miles, past the Doctor’s Surgery, and you will find us on your left with an exposed stone gable end.
There is shared parking at the front of the property and a shared washing greens at the rear of the house but separate decking areas to sit outside.
