An Taigh Muir is a traditional stone semi-detached black house. The cottage is located in the quiet hamlet of Cornaigmore in the north west of the island. The cottage benefits from lovely views across the machair and is surrounded by crofting land on all sides. The cottage is a 5 minute walk across the machair to the hidden gem of a beach - The Green - and only a 10 min walk from Loch Bhasapol for windsurfing/the windsurf school. The popular surfing beach of Balevullin is close by along with lots of other spectacular beaches. An Taigh Muir sleeps 6 in 3 bedrooms, with cosy interiors, in peaceful setting with spectacular wide sky views all around and all the modern amenities you might need for a relaxing holiday. Ideal for families.

On the ground floor there is a semi open plan sitting room and kitchen diner, a dining/sun room and a WC. On the first floor there are 3 bedrooms (1 double and x2 twin bedrooms) and one family bathroom

Directions and Parking

Direction to the cottage from the ferry terminal:
Leaving the ferry terminal drive to the first junction and turn right towards Balephetrish. Continue on that road passing Gott Bay to your right. Stay on that road passing Balephetrish Bay on your right. After the Cornaig sign, look out for the crossroads before the Mill House and turn right here. Turn left at the junction before the red telephone box, go over the cattle grid and turn right at the first gate. Please keep vehicles on existing tracks and do not drive on the verge. An Taigh Muir is the third house situated on the left, inside the gate. Please close the gate at all times.
