Sitting Room - with windows on two walls to provide views of Heanish Bay and across the machair. This is a comfortable room with 2 sofas and an armchair. It has a flame effect electric fire with TV and DVD player. This room provides views of Tiree's abundant bird life and hares run across the grass outside. Seals can often be seen on the outlying rocks.
Galley Kitchen - electric cooker & hob, fridge-freezer, dishwasher, cupboard space for food storage. This room looks out to Heanish Machair.
Dining Room - with table and chairs providing a comfortable space for 6 to enjoy a meal. An electric fire is set within a brick opening for colder evenings. Microwave and toaster.
Bedroom 1 - single bed. Views on to Heanish Machair
Bedroom 2 - single bed. Views over Heanish Bay.
Bedroom 3 - double bed. This room faces Heanish Machair
Bedroom 4 - double bed. This room faces Heanish Bay
Shower Room - electric shower, WC, handbasin
Bathroom - bath, WC, handbasin
Landside porch - main entrance to the property. This is a large, light room with ample storage space. Washing machine and tumble drier.
Seaside Porch - views to sea and beach. Chairs and tables for outside use.
FACILITIES AND SERVICES
In order to promote Covid safety visitors are required to bring all linen requirements: bed linen, towels, tea towels, bath mats etc.
All electricity is payable at the suppliers cost applicable at the time of rental.
The house provides free wi-fi
Chairs and tables for outside use are available in the seaside porch.
HOUSE LOCATION
The house is situated on Heanish Machair, approximately 10 minutes by car from the pier, 15 minutes from the airport and 5 minutes from the supermarket in Scarinish.
RESTRICTIONS
Strictly no smoking. Sorry no pets.
OUTSIDE SPACE AND PARKING
Large grassed area with ample car parking space, drying green and picnic table.
Two double bedrooms and two single bedrooms
From the ferry - turn left at the T junction towards Scarinish. Through the township and after about 500m - with a spotty house on your right - turn left through a gate onto the machair. Follow the track towards the left - you'll see Heanish Beach Cottage - which is wooden clad - over on the left.

Yes we did return to the beach cottage as we said last year.
Had another great week . Fantastic views from the lounge . Forever watching wildlife around the cottage . Traditional cows on the beach and the Famous Tiree Hares around the Garden. Hopefully will return someday but lots of islands to visit. Make sure you visit the fish Shack Fabulous Lobster, crab. Thanks Mhairi for letting us share you cottage .

Had a great stay at this beach house.
Lots of bird activity on the beach. Kept away from the terns . Had set up the scope in the lounge great when the wind was quite strong outside had great view. Of all the wild life. Cottage everything you need . Got home and booked again for the following year. Like it says Stunning beachside location.

A nice house with secure garden close to a lovely beach. We enjoyed our holiday but were not happy to have to bring our own bedding and towels or do our own cleaning at the end of our stay.
We did not get our full deposit back and have been accused of stealing a pillow 😯 and not cleaning dog hair from a room effectively. As we are 5 retired health professionals we take issue with the owners accusations.
