Lochan Ban is a three bedroomed house situated high up in Balevullin; the most north westerly township on Tiree. The house is a 5 minute walk down to the beautiful beach and another 5 minute walk up the back, to the foot of Ben Hough.

Through the front door there is a spacious porch with facilities for storing boots and outdoor wear.

Into the house through the second door, the stairs run straight ahead up to the first floor.

In between the two twin bedrooms upstairs there is a toilet and washbasin. There is also a cot in one of the upstairs bedrooms.

Downstairs to the right of the front door, is the double bedroom with shower cubicle.

To the left is the living room with open fire, television, DVD player and sofa bed.

Straight ahead from the front door, further along the corridor there is the house bathroom with a walk in shower, washbasin and toilet.

To the right is a large, well equipped dining kitchen with extendable dining table.

Running along the width and around the back of the property is a sunroom furnished with easy chairs, books and games.

French doors open out from this room to the back of the property often providing a sheltered seating area that catches the evening sun.

Adjacent to the kitchen there is another living area that is detached from the property. This room has large picture windows and provides a tranquil space away from the hubbub of the main house.

A spiral staircase leads to a sheltered area above this room giving beautiful views across Balevullin.

The garden is walled with a good sized lawn, washing line and hard standing for garden furniture.

There is an oil fired combi boiler supplying hot water and central heating throughout the house.

There is no linen or cleaning service so we ask that you bring your own t-towels, towels and bedding (1 double, 4 single, plus a double sofa bed).

The ground floor is quite spacious and fully accessible for wheelchairs; with bathroom, bedroom, kitchen, dining and living space.

    From the pier, follow the road until you meet a T-junction, almost 1km. Left would take you into Scarinish, the main township where the Post Office, Coop and bank are.

    For Balevullin you want to turn right. Follow the road for roughly 10km until you come to the next t-junction. Turn right and follow the road round to the left, over the little bridge, up the hill and turn right at the wheelie bins. Drive on the track in front of the two houses, Lochan Ban is the second house.

    There’s plenty of room to park in front of the house on the ‘machair’, the name of this fertile common grazing.

    Should you prefer you can open the gate and park in front of the garage doors.
