Manitoba is a traditional 1.5-storey croft house dating back to the 1800s, which has been modernised over the years to what it is today. It is situated in the township of Balephuil and is just a 10-minute walk to Balephuil Beach, which has views of Skerryvore in the distance.
The property is surrounded by open fields and has great views of Loch a Phuil which has an extensive array of wildlife in particular the variety of bird life and there is a bird hide adjacent to the loch which is also within walking distance.

We had a lovely week in Tiree and rented this beautiful cottage for our stay.
On arrival we were blown away by just how nice it was, the pictures didn't do it justice.
The cottage spotlessly clean,freshly decorated and finished to a high standard. It had everything we could possibly need for a self catering holiday. As well as a washing machine and cooker it had every cooking utensil you could think off as well as a big fridge freezer, dishwasher, air fryer, toaster and so on. All pretty much new.
The owners really have thought of everything and there's nothing you will find wanting here. Towels, hand washes, shampoo and other toiletries were all provided, far more than we were expecting. Even a few goodies were left for us on arrival.
The beds are super comfy which is something that can often be overlooked in rentals in favour of a cheap bed and mattress and the house is well insulated and warm.
The TV is a good size which is nice when you consider that Tiree is not known for it's night life. The internet wifi was fine for browsing but not great for streaming, The phone signal was good so we positioned our phone on window sill and used mobile data to hotspot and stream a few shows and movies. The owner did say they were going to resolve this problem and we had no reason to doubt them.
The location is amazing with a beach view in the distance and just a short walk away. The location is very private and the owners are happy to leave you in peace.
A car is needed to get here but the sights of Tiree and there distance apart makes it necessary for your stay on the Island.
Although we were only travelling light it might be useful to know that we were given a key to the building to the side of the main house and for anyone that wanted to store surf equipment or bikes it would have been ideal for that purpose.
I would thoroughly recommend Manitoba as a place to rent for your stay and would not hesitate in recommending it to anyone.We feel lucky to have picked this place after considering many of the rentals on offer.
The property was great and suited our needs perfectly. All contact through the booking process and during our stay (when we were told we could get into the property early which was great and also because I couldn't find the towels!) was quick and easy.
Thanks very much, would definitely love to come to Tiree again.
